A practical content brief

A reusable checklist for commissioning a useful article or landing page.

What to know

A content brief should clarify the reader, the question, the evidence needed, and the intended next step. This is Idea Incubator’s suggested workflow, built for making editorial decisions before drafting.

A practical starting point

Record six items: intended reader, primary question, concise answer, evidence or examples, related internal pages, and the next action. Give the reviewer a specific job: check accuracy and missing conditions.

Keep in mind

Use the brief as a guide, not a keyword quota. If research changes the answer, update the brief rather than forcing the draft to match an unsupported premise.
